Music

The Music Department at Parish Episcopal School values wisdom, honor, and service through its Instrumental, Choral, Musical Theatre, and General Music programs.  Music instructors at Parish have experience in both Kodaly and ORFF approaches. These serve as the backbone for choral and instrumental instruction. Students interested in singing in choir may do so beginning in the second grade, while instrumental instruction is open to students in grades five and above.  Each year the school presents a musical which is a combined effort between the music and theatre departments. Students in musical ensembles serve the Parish community by offering their gifts of music in daily chapel and at weekly Eucharist.  In addition, students perform at concerts, programs, and festivals several times throughout the year.
