Track & Field brings home hardware from district meet April 24, 2009 The Parish Track & Field team brought home 25 medals from the TAPPS District 2-4A Track Meet on Thursday, April 23, at First Baptist Academy. Sixteen Parish student-athletes, including all six relay teams, have advanced to the state qualifying regional meet to be held in Argyle next Friday, May 1. Panthers win middle school tennis tourney Varsity tennis competes at TAPPS State April 23, 2009 Parish’s middle school tennis team won its first Middle School Championship led by a strong sixth-grade class, The Panthers won the 5th through 8th grade competition in April held at Fair Oaks. Parish tennis heads to state April 9, 2009 Parish tennis will send five players--with the possibility of sending a total of eight--to Waco for State competition.
The district and regional champion team of Breanne Hesseltine & Victoria Coffee lead the team down to Waco on April 24. The team is undefeated in doubles action this season with a 20-0 match record. The team defeated Dallas Christian in the championship of the regional tournament. full story...
Softball: 1st Annual Strikeout for Cancer game April 2009 The Lady Panthers softball team will be hosting its 1st Annual Strikeout for Cancer Awareness game on April 9, 4:45, against Trinity Christian Cedar Hill.
Please join us as we honor the women that have been affected by this dreadful disease and enjoy an evening of exciting Lady Panther softball.
There will be pamphlets and brochures provided by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation available at the game. The Parish Episcopal softball team would like to raise awareness and help our young women with available screenings and other helpful information to fight for the cure.
Boys Golf advances to State April 7, 2009 For the first time in Parish history, the varsity boys golf team is going to the TAPPS State Championship Tournament! Regionals were held on Monday, April 6 at Hollytree Country Club in Tyler, and despite the chilly weather the team lit up the course with a one day total of 449 and took 4th Place overall. Parish golfers Cole Horowitz, Cody Miller, Will Hall, Alec Thoveson, and JJ Greco finished ahead of Dallas First Baptist, Dallas Christian, Midland Christian, and Trinity Christian. Cody Miller and Cole Horowitz placed 9th and 11th place respectively.
The boys played very well in spite of the tough weather conditions. When the team started the round Monday morning it was 36 degrees and the winds topped 40 mph. And even though the temperature reached 52 degrees, the wind chill remained in the upper 30s to low 40s. The top 4 teams and the top 10 medalists advance to the State Tournament on April 20-21 in Katy, TX at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch.
Tennis takes district again April 3, 2009 Parish’s girls and boys tennis teams repeated as TAPPS Class 4A District II (East) champions. The girls have won four consecutive district titles and the boys have back-to-back championships. The Panthers qualified all eight of its teams for next week’s TAPPS regional tournament at the Arlington Tennis Center.
In the boys’ district tournament, sophomore Manick Chhabra extended his singles’ record to 23 – 0 in the district tournament with an individual championship. Sophomore Alex Rabhan took third. In doubles, senior David Smart and junior Ben Evans finished third and seniors Manni Sheikh and Millad Mortazavi took sixth place.
In the girls’ district competition, junior Breanne Hesseltine and sophomore Victoria Coffee took first place. Junior Erin Chaiken and sophomore Jannet Hernandez came in seventh in their first district appearance. In singles, sophomore Aubrey Moraif had a strong performance in the championship match before ending in second-place but still a lot of momentum heading into the regional competition. Senior Kelly Rathbun finished third with high hopes to qualify for a fourth trip to state.
Track & Field shines at St. Mark’s April 1, 2009 The Parish Track & Field Team had an outstanding showing on Saturday, March 28, at St. Mark’s Invitational Meet attended by 37 private school teams from around the state. Cold and windy conditions gave way to some hot performances from Parish athletes.
The Parish girls' team was lead by 1st place finishes by Madison Jones in the 800 Meters and 1,600 Meters (setting personal records in both events and the second meet in a row that Madison has won both of those events!); Meredith Moore in the 3,200 Meters (Meredith also placed 3rd in the 1,600 Meters, setting personal records in both events); and Chesnie Brackens in the 200 Meters (her first competition at that distance this season). Rounding out the girls' team’s 4th place finish in the meet were second place finishes by the 4X200 Meter Relay and 4X400 Meter Relay teams, both comprised of Susan Berry, Chesnie Brackens, Abigail Garcia and Kelsey Kehlbeck.
The Parish boys' team was lead by a 1st place finish by Eric Humphrey in the Shot Put (the second meet in a row that Eric has won that event!). Conrad Smith medaled in the 2,000 Meter Steeplechase with a 3rd place finish also setting a Parish school record in that event. Conrad rounded out a long day of work with a personal record 4th place finish in a talented 1,600 Meter field and a 5th place finish in the 800 Meters.
Hole-in-one helps golfers advance March 24, 2009 Sophomore Cole Horowitz got his first hole-in-one to finish second in the TAPPS District 2 golf tournament and lead the Panthers to a second-consecutive regional tournament berth next week. Parish’s boys finished second in the overall team standings at the district tournament Monday at Thorntree Country Club in DeSoto. Horowitz’s ace came on a 105-yard, par-three shot on the second hole. Sophomore Will Hall finished seventh in the individual standings. Hall was instrumental in Parish qualifying for its first regional berth last year with a seventh-place district finish as a freshman. Parish’s boys were third in overall team standings last year.
The second-place team finish qualifies Parish for the TAPPS Regional Tournament at Tyler’s Hollytree Country Club on April 6. Junior Maddie Parker finished 11th in individual standings for the Lady Panthers.
At the regional tourney, Parish will be looking to advance to its first TAPPS state tourney April 20-21 at The Golf Club in Katy, TX.
Parish wins softball tourney March 9, 2009 The Lady Panthers are off to a school-best start after winning the First Annual Parish Episcopal TAPPS-SPC/Mizuno Softball Challenge this weekend.
Parish defeated Oklahoma City Casady, 8-2, in the tournament final Saturday afternoon. The Panthers (11-2-1) had victories over Carrollton Prince of Peace and Dallas Lutheran to reach the championship.
Parish plays host to Rockwall Heritage at 5 p.m. Thursday before opening TAPPS district competition at First Baptist on March 19.
Boys basketball hits post-season play, honors Feb 16, 2009 The Panthers advanced to the TAPPS 4A Division boys state basketball playoffs for the first time in school history under coach Dorian Harris. Parish was eliminated in the first round in a 42-31 by Argyle Liberty Christian. Parish finished in second place district 4A-2 this season.
The Panthers have two players selected to the All-District 2 first-team named by coaches. Six Panthers received post-season recognition.
Parish senior forwards Javier Carter and Manni Sheikh are first team all district selections. Carter was also named defensive player for the district.
Senior center Tanner Sledge and freshman guard Taylor Epperson are second-team selections. Freshman forward Tate Sledge and sophomore Tanner Wells are honorable mention selections.
“We exceeded all expectations this year,” Harris said. “We finished second in district after a last place performance last year. We appreciate all of the support given to us by our fans and we are very excited about the future. We expect to return a very strong team with a great deal of experience next year.”
Boys soccer hits post-season play, honors Feb 10, 2009 The Panthers advanced to the TAPPS Division II boys state soccer playoffs for the second-consecutive season under coach Craig Savage. Parish was eliminated in the first round in a 2-1, sudden-death overtime loss at Fort Worth Christian on Feb. 7. Parish girls net third state swim and dive title Boys take sixth place February 9, 2009 Parish Episcopal's girls won gold medals in six of 12 events to earn their third-consecutive TAPPS state swimming championship. Parish swimmers look for state 3-peat February 3, 2009 Parish Episcopal’s girls are aiming for a third-consecutive TAPPS Division II state swimming and diving championship as the Panthers head to San Antonio for the state meet Friday and Saturday.
Parish is coming off a TAPPS North Region swim championship Jan. 23 with first-place finishes in the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay. Parish state-record holder Marylyn Toledo took first-place finishes in the 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke. full story...
State soccer playoffs February 3, 2009 The Parish girls' soccer team plays Fort Worth Temple Christian at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Gloria H. Snyder Stadium in the second round of the TAPPS Division II girls state soccer playoffs. It’s the second-consecutive year to reach the playoffs under Panthers coach Mark Addington. Parish earned a first-round bye through its district season behind the goal-scoring of junior Blaire Butler and freshman Bri Sharp.
On the boys' side Parish plays at Fort Worth Worth Christian at 2 p.m. Saturday in the second round of the TAPPS Division II state soccer playoffs. Parish advanced to its first state tournament last year after defeating Fort Worth Christian in penalty kicks in a dramatic playoff victory for the Panthers.
Panthers in the pool: Regional girls title; Boys 2nd January 2009 Parish had great individual and team efforts to earn a TAPPS North Region swim championship while the boys took second overall in the region. More than 20 Parish swimmers qualified for the TAPPS State Meet in San Antonio on Feb. 6-7. Parish’s girls hope to defend their TAPPS state title. At the regional meet in Mansfield on Jan. 23, Marylyn Toledo won both her individual events and Lauren Willis had personal best times in her individual events.
Daniel Pappas, Jeff Hogan, Dakota Smith and Logan Klein led the boys team in best times and points scored.
Panthers swim coach Lia Oberstar gave special congratulations to Ian Dechow, James Morris, Andrew Kadesky, K.C. Meyercord, Ryan Northway and John Rector for qualifying in at least one individual event at the state meet in their first year of Parish swimming and diving.
Parish hosts holiday hoops December 2008 The Panthers’ boys and girls basketball teams host their fourth annual Parish Episcopal Holiday Classic beginning Dec. 27. Among the 32 teams for each 16-team bracket are some of North Texas’ top public and private school programs as well as Australia’s Brighton Wolves bringing two teams to compete in their respective girls and boys brackets.
In the girls’ bracket, top area programs include Garland High School, John Paul II, ESD, Highland Park, Prince of Peace, Greenhill, Fort Worth Country Day and Trinity Christian-Addison. The boys’ bracket includes Acadian Prep from Louisiana, Fort Worth Southwest, Cistercian, Grapevine Faith and Houston Heights.
First-game tip-off is 8 a.m. Dec. 27 with games running in the Parish Gym all day Dec. 29 as well. A slam-dunk and 3-point shooting contest will be Dec. 29. There will be no games Dec. 28 (Sunday). The girls’ championship will be 5 p.m. Dec. 30 followed by the boys’ final at 6:30 p.m.

Boys take top honors in weekend tourney Nov 25, 2008 The Parish boys’ varsity basketball team brought home the First Place trophy from the First Baptist Tournament in Pasadena, TX, last weekend. The Panthers were undefeated in tournament play. Senior Javier Carter was voted “Most Valuable Player”, and Junior Adam Weyand was selected “All Tournament Player”. Congratulations to Coach Dorian Harris and the team.

Middle School football in DPL Catholic Bowl Five Panthers to play in DPL all-star game Nov 20, 2008 Our 6th grade and 7th/8th grade football teams have advanced to the DPL Catholic Bowl to be played this Saturday at Jesuit College Prep. The 6th graders will face St. Monica at 6pm, and the 7th/8th will play St. Rita at 8pm.
The DPL all-star game will be played on Sunday, 7pm, at Bishop. Parish Panthers playing in this game are Evan English, Tre Vance, Dru Smith, Coleton Uzelac and Blake Ransom. Congratulations to these players as the represent Parish this weekend.
Milestones mark Panthers’ season Nov 17, 2008 Parish Episcopal had another TAPPS state playoff run, but the Panthers had another season ended by perennial power Argyle Liberty in the playoffs.
Parish lost at Argyle Liberty, 41-26, last Friday in the first round of the state playoffs. Defending 4A state champ Liberty also defeated Parish to end the Panthers' season in '07.
Parish (8-3) survived numerous injuries to get a second-consecutive TAPPS playoff berth. At one point, the Panthers had nine starters out. But the Panthers' third varsity season wasn't without highlights. full story...
Parish starts playoff march Nov 12, 2008 Parish Episcopal is starting the TAPPS Division II state football playoffs at the top. The Panthers will play at defending state champion Argyle Liberty Christian at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the first round (click here for driving directions).
“It doesn’t matter when you play them,” Parish coach Scott Nady said. “You’ve got to beat all of them anyway.”
Parish (8-2) has had a week off to recuperate some long-standing injuries. The Panthers had lost as many as nine starters when it lost two of three district games. All are expected to return against Liberty Christian (7-3).
Parish claimed its playoff berth with a last-minute, 43-yard touchdown pass in a 42-35 victory over Prestonwood Christian on Oct. 31.
STATE CHAMPS: Parish Volleyball! Nov 10, 2008 Parish Episcopal claimed its first TAPPS state volleyball championship with a victory over Dallas Christian in the final at the Merrell Center in Katy, Tx. In just its third varsity season, Parish defeated district rival Dallas Christian in four games (25-15, 25-8, 20-25, 25-13) to win the Class 4A Division. Parish had defeated Houston Lutheran North in the semifinals on Friday to reach its first ever state final.
Parish senior Kelsey Musselman, junior Whitney Keith and sophomores Abbey Rogge and Amshatar Stephenson were named All-State. The Lady Panthers (40-9) finished ranked No. 8 in The Dallas Morning News’ 4A area poll.
“I am so very proud of all of this team,” Parish coach Jenny Neuhoff said. “I have seen immense improvement and maturity, not only in their skills but in individual personalities. We have had our ups and downs, but it has truly been my pleasure and my greatest honor to be their coach.”
Parish returned seven players for this season with high hopes. The Panthers repeated as TAPPS district champs without a district loss, including two wins over Dallas Christian.
Musselman, who plans to play in college at Columbia, was named the District 2-4A Most Valuable Player in a vote of coaches. Keith was named the Offensive Player of the Year and sophomore Holly Hopkins was the Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Neuhoff was named Coach of the Year for the second-consecutive season.
Lady Panthers advance to state finals TAPPS State Volleyball Tourney (Katy, TX) UPDATED: Nov 8, 2008, 12:45am After a late start--over four hours past the scheduled starting time--the Lady Panthers defeated Houston Lutheran North in three straight games (25-16, 25-12, 25-13) to advance to the State Championship game against Dallas Christian at 4 p.m. today. According to the TAPPS web site, the volleyball finals will be broadcast live via streaming video from TAPPS TV.
Parish advanced to the TAPPS Class 4A state volleyball tournament with a strong qualifying victory over defending state champ Houston Second Baptist last Saturday afternoon at John Paul II High School in Plano.
The Lady Panthers’ second-consecutive state semifinal berth will be 7 p.m. Friday at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas. Parish defeated Second Baptist, 25-20, 23-25, 25-17, 25-18, in the regional final. Second Baptist eliminated Parish in the semifinal last year.
If Parish wins its semifinal, it will play for the TAPPS state title 4 p.m. Saturday at the Merrell Center. Arlington Grace Prep and Dallas Christian meet in the other semifinal.
On Tuesday, Parish hosts a warmup match against TAPPS Class 5A state qualifier Bishop Lynch. Parish and Lynch play at 5 p.m. in the Parish Gym.
Panthers preparing for state playoffs Nov 6, 2008 Following a thrilling, last-minute victory to clinch a state playoff spot, the Panthers are getting ready for a first round matchup in the TAPPS Division II playoffs Nov. 14 against defending state champ Argyle Liberty Christian.
Parish senior Andre Brackens caught a 43-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Brant Costilla to score the game-winning touchdown with 1:08 left in a 42-35 victory over Prestonwood Christian on Halloween night at Gloria H. Snyder Stadium.
The Panthers (8-2, 4-2) finished the regular season with third-place in District 2. The Panthers reached the playoffs for the second time in their three varsity seasons. Parish was eliminated in the second round by Argyle Liberty last year.
Parish one win from state volleyball tourney Oct 29, 2008 Parish Episcopal meets Houston Second Baptist in the TAPPS Class 4A state volleyball semifinals at 4 p.m. Saturday at John Paul II in Plano.
The winner advances to the TAPPS state tourney Nov. 7-8 at Katy's Merrell Center. Parish advanced to the regional final for the second-consecutive season with a playoff victory over Fort Worth Christian last Saturday.
Parish won in 25-10, 25-11 and 25-11. Parish advanced to the state tournament last season in only its second varsity season. Parish was ousted in the state semifinals by Houston Second Baptist.
Football regular-season finale Oct 29, 2008 Parish Episcopal ends its regular-season with a TAPPS District 2 football finale against Prestonwood Christian at Gloria H. Snyder Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday. A Parish victory gives the Panthers (7-2, 3-2) third-place in district behind Dallas Christian and Trinity Christian Cedar Hill. The Panthers would get a much-needed bye-week before the TAPPS Division II state playoffs begin Nov. 14.
With a third-or fourth-place finish, Parish will play on the road in the playoffs. If Parish loses to PCA, the Panthers would have to wait for the outcome of other games to determine whether they qualify for the playoffs.
Volleyball playoffs Saturday Oct 22, 2008 The Lady Panthers will open the first round of the TAPPS Class 4A state volleyball playoffs against Fort Worth Christian at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Panther Gym. Parish is coming off is second-consecutive district title and is hoping to advance again to the TAPPS state tournament in November.
Parish (36-8) finished district undefeated and ranked No. 8 in The Dallas Morning News Class 4A/Others rankings. Fort Worth Christian (19-3) took the fourth seed in District 1. Parish clinched the District 2 title with a four-set victory at second-place Dallas Christian on Oct. 14.
“Probably the best match we have played all season,” Parish coach Jenny Neuhoff said. “Our defense was on point and hustling. Senior setter Kelsey Musselman was moving the ball around so our hitters could put the ball away. Our team set lofty goals and they have successfully accomplished two of them: No. 1 to win district and No. 2 not to drop a game in district.”
A Parish victory would advance the Panthers to the TAPPS regional tournament Nov. 1. The state tournament is Nov. 7-8.
Panthers prepare for Homecoming Oct 14, 2008 Parish looks toward getting closer to a TAPPS Division II state football berth when the Panthers host Tyler Gorman for Homecoming this Friday at Wheat Field.
Parish (6-1, 2-1) likely can secure its second-consecutive playoff spot with victories against Gorman and Trinity Christian Cedar Hill over the next two weeks. Parish reached the second round of the state playoffs last year.
Parish is coming off its first loss of the season after District 2 leader Dallas Christian defeated the Panthers 35-14. Dallas Christian was the first opponent to take a lead against the Panthers, who had rolled to wins in their first six games.
Parish hopes to get the return of its leading rusher, tackler and top lineman for its push to return to the state playoffs. Parish senior running back Trey Morse was on the sidelines against Dallas Christian with a knee sprain. Parish senior linebacker Ryan Simons has been out with a broken foot and starting center/nose guard Luis Rios was out with a concussion.
Parish hopes to get back to full strength against Gorman. In just its third varsity season, Parish’s Homecoming welcomes back high school graduates from the last two years as well as graduates from the school which was a 20-year day school through the sixth grade before expanding to its secondary school.
Cross Country finishes strong Oct 6, 2008 The Parish boys’ and girls’ varsity cross country teams ran Saturday, Oct. 4, at the TAPPS District meet in Tyler, placing third and fourth, respectively, in their divisions. Senior, Conrad Smith, led the boys by finishing eighth with a time of 20:13, followed closely by sophomore, Tyler Knight (10th), and freshman, Conner Fagin (11th). The boys' team earned bronze with a combined score of 56 points.
The girls' team was led by strong performances by sophomore Madison Jones who placed second with a blistering time of 12:37 for two miles. She was closely followed by fourth place finisher junior Meredith Moore who ran a 13:18 race. Junior Kyle Hughes and sophomores Allison Kelsoe and Mia Goetz all had personal bests, with Goetz lowering her previous time by nearly two minutes. The girls' team had a combined score of 83 points to finish fourth.
The Parish Panthers will run next on Oct. 18, at the TAPPS State Meet in Waco.
Volleyball stakes claim on first place Sept 26, 2008 Parish defeated Dallas Christian on Thursday night before an enthusiastic Lady Panthers’ home crowd to take possession of first place in TAPPS District 2. Parish met a strong Dallas Christian challenge but won in three sets, 25-20, 25-20, 25-22.
Ranked No. 6 in The Dallas Morning News’ Class 4A/Private School poll, Parish (30-7) is 4-0 in district while trying to defend last year’s first championship. Parish ends the first round of district play at First Baptist on Tuesday and starts the second round at Trinity Christian Cedar Hill. Parish’s next home game is Oct. 7 against Tyler Grace.
Red Out: Panthers jump to fast start Sept 22, 2008 The Lady Panthers won their first two district games and will play at T.K. Gorman on Tuesday before hosting Dallas Christian at Panther Gym on Thursday night. Asking everyone to wear “Red” to support the volleyball team, the Panthers booster club will give out Spirit Towels to the first 100 students and have a $1 Dog Night at the concession stand.
Trying to defend its TAPPS District 2-4A volleyball championship, Parish defeated Trinity Christian Cedar Hill and Tyler Grace last week. Parish (28-7) is ranked No. 7 ranking in The Dallas Morning News’ Class 4A/Private School area volleyball poll.
“We started off with a very tough preseason to prepare us for what was to come in district,” Panthers coach Jenny Neuhoff said. “The girls have been working hard to stay focused and our record is a testament to that focus. Each match, we choose certain elements to improve and each girl comes into the match with her own individual goal to achieve.”
Parish senior Kelsey Musselman is among the area leaders with more than 800 assists and junior Whitney Keith is among the North Texas leaders with 389 kills and 55 serving aces. Sophomore Abbey Rogge has 273 digs on defense.
Panthers move the ball in the air Sept 19, 2008 Parish 36, Hyde Park Baptist 14 Coming into this evening’s game against Hyde Park, the Panthers had been averaging over 375 yards per game on the ground and 33 in the air. The tables were turned tonight as Parish racked up 352 yards of passing offense compared to 198 yards rushing. Quarterback Brant Costilla threw for 339 of those yards which included four touchdowns in the first half. One touchdown was scored on the ground by running back Andre Brackens, and points were also put on the board with a 47-yard field goal by senior Michael DeLong.
Football moves to 3-0 Sept 12, 2008 Parish 38, Hillcrest 21 Parish’s offense racked up 351 yards on the ground in their 38-21 victory over Hillcrest High School (UIL, 4A). The Panthers went into halftime with a two point lead and were able to outscore Hillcrest 22-7 in the second half with touchdowns by Trey Morse, Ryan Simons and Andre Brackens.
The Panthers’ next opponent is Hyde Park Baptist (Austin). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 next Friday night, September 19, at Panther stadium.
No. 3 Panthers host Hillcrest Sept 8, 2008 Game 2: Parish 39, Kemp 0 Parish Episcopal moved to No. 3 in The Dallas Morning News’ Large Private School poll after its a 39-0 victory at Kemp last Friday. Parish will meet North Dallas neighbor Hillcrest in a battle of Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Parish’s Wheat Field.
Parish’s Double Wing-T formation is averaging 45 points per game in wins over ESD and Class 3A Kemp. Parish senior running back Andre Brackens rushed for four touchdowns and 160 yards against Kemp while senior running back Trey Morse rushed for 169 yards.
Parish senior linebacker Ryan Simons, junior Dillon Hoelscher and sophomores BJ January and Rob Hankins lead the way in Parish’s shutout over Kemp.
Road Trip Sept 4, 2008 A week after Parish played neighbor ESD, the Panthers take a traditional Texas high school football game roadtrip to play at Kemp. The Panthers (1-0) will take on a heavy duty Class 3A public school that will outweigh the Panthers at nearly every position. The Yellowjackets (0-1) aren’t a traditional power, but they are used to playing against high levels of competition.

Panthers win home opener Aug 29, 2008 Varsity Football: Parish 50, ESD 27 Parish opened the 2008 varsity football season with a 50-27 victory over Episcopal School of Dallas. The offense gained over 500 yards on the ground with a strong running attack by Trey Morse, Andre Brackens and Ryan Simons with each running back putting two touchdowns on the board. The remaining touchdown was scored by John Mark Johnson on a 31 yard pass from quarterback Brant Costilla.
The Panthers’ next game will be played at Kemp High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm next Friday, September 5.
An unexpected homecoming Aug 27, 2008 With Parish playing ESD for the first time, the Panthers also will get to open their third varsity football season at home. With a large crowd expected, the game was moved to Parish’s Wheat Field at Panther Stadium from ESD. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. Friday with the gates opening at 6:30 p.m. With the switch to a home game from a road game, fans are asked to wear Red instead of White.
Parish will play at Kemp on Sept. 5 and return home Sept. 12 against Hillcrest High School. Next year’s game against ESD will be moved to its stadium.
Volleyball spiking through early season Aug 27, 2008 The Lady Panthers’ volleyball team plays in the Frisco Tournament this weekend after starting 2008 like they left off in ’07. Parish (14-4) is off to a fast start after reaching the TAPPS state tournament last season in November.
Parish picked up its first win in three years over neighborhood rival ESD on Aug. 21. The Panthers rallied in the last two sets to defeat ESD in five games. Parish then defeated Prestonwood Christian on Tuesday after beating Carrollton Christian at home Monday. The Panthers’ strength continues to be overall team play with strong defense and passing.
After playing in Frisco, Parish’s next home game is 7 p.m. Tuesday in Panther Gym against Garland Christian.
New Boys’ Varsity Basketball Coach on Board August 2008 We are very pleased to announce the selection of Dorian Harris as the Head Coach of the Boys' Varsity Basketball Team. Coach Harris comes to Parish from the Covenant School in Dallas, where the team has made it to the Final Four in TAPPS the past two years. He has also coached one of the Heroes Foundation summer teams, traveling the country, winning five tournaments in 2008. more...
